§ Mr. John Marshallasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what information he has as to how often postal deliveries in central London have been interfered with by industrial action during the past year.
§ Mr. ButcherIndustrial action by postal workers is primarily a matter for the Post Office board. I therefore do not have comprehensive details of such action. However, I am aware that postal deliveries in central London have been affected by industrial action on a number of occasions over the last year, including 45 disputes which led to the sealing of letter boxes.
