§ Mr. Donald ThompsonOur priority is to ensure that a plentiful supply of wholesome food of sound quality and adequate variety is available to the consumer at competitive prices. To this end we shall continue to encourage the development of an efficient and innovative food and drink industry whilst maintaining a comprehensive range of legislation controlling the safety, quality and labelling of food.
