To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what information he has as to how many pupils have been excluded or expelled from more than one school in 1986 and 1987;

(2) what information he has as to how many expulsions or exclusions took place in (a) primary and (b) secondary schools in Scotland in 1986 and 1987.
