§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThere are three such laboratories—in Grampian police, Lothian and Borders police and Strathclyde police—which currently employ a total of 40 forensic scientists. The grades and pay scales of the scientists employed in each laboratory are matters for the police authorities concerned.
