§ Mr. WrayTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how much money he has allocated to the social security and health services, in accordance with the Disabled Persons (Services, Consultation and Representation) Act 1986.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythOnly seven provisions of the Act have been brought into force so far. Their limited resource implications for local authorities have been taken into account in provision for social work in the 1988–89 rate support grant settlement. Neither these nor one further section being considered for implementation in the present financial year have significant implications for the level of health services or for the provision of social security benefits.
