§ The Prime MinisterIn the interview to which the hon. Member refers I distinguished between acts of Government and the judgment of the market place. As my hon. Friend the Minister for Trade explained in answer to the hon. Member's question on 23 July 1987, at columns305–7, the Government have fulfilled their commitment on new investment in South Africa by the introduction of a voluntary ban.
