ked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many people are on hospital waiting lists in (a) Fife and (b) Scotland.

The latest information centrally available, which relates to 31 March 1987 and is provisional, shows 5,198 people on waiting lists for hospital in-patient treatment in the Fife health board area[...] in Scotland.

Mr. McAllion

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many patients in (a) the Tayside health board area and (b) The Dundee district authority area who are in need of operations have been asked to wait due to lack of medical and hospital facilities for more than three months for each year since 1979.
