§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how much money each local authority received in capital receipts in each year from 1981 to 1986; and how much money each local authority has in the form of accumulated capital receipts at present.
§ Mr. ChopeI have today placed in the Library a table showing for each local authority and in total(a) for each financial year from 1981–82 to 1985–86 the amount authorities have reported they have received from disposals of fixed assets, repayments of grants and advances, and capital receipts by virtue of regulations made under section 75(5) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980; and (b) the amount of accumulated capital receipts at the end of 1985–86 which could be converted into cash. Figures for capital receipts in 1986–87 or accumulated receipts at the end of that year are not yet available.
