§ Dr. MawhinneyThe estimated proportions of 18-yearold Northern Ireland domiciled women and men in full-time higher education in the United Kingdom in 1985–86 were 7.5 per cent. and 5.7 respectively. The proportions attending institutions within Northern Ireland were 5.5 per cent and 4 per cent. for women and men respectively.
