§ Mr. Norman Lamont[pursuant to his reply, 25 March 1987, c. 215]: About 45,000 blind people in the United Kingdom will benefit from the increased allowance at a cost of about £2 million. Information readily available centrally does not allow a reliable estimate to be provided of the effect on taxpayers in Wales.
