§ Mr. LyellThe following figures give the total number of local office staff leaving the Department in each grade in each of the years 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986. This number is then expressed as a percentage of the total local office staff in post at 1 April in each year. These figures are not available before 1983. Executive grades are principal, senior executive officer, higher executive officer and local officer I. Clerical grades are local officer II and clerical assistant.
