§ 71. Dr. Michael Clarkasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what further representations he has received on the proposals to require milk producers to pay £90 per visit for inspections associated with public health.
§ Mr. GummerDetailed proposals for regulations on charges for work in connection with milk and dairies regulations were issued to interested organisations for 611W comments on 4 December 1986. A number responded, including the National Farmers Union, the Farmers Union of Wales and the Milk Marketing Board. We also received representations from, and on behalf of, a number of individual milk producers. The regulations were made and laid before Parliament in February and a prayer against them was defeated on 2 March.
