§ Mrs. RumboldPrimary responsibility for provision of career education and guidance rests with individual local education authorities. However, following from the White Paper "Working Together", my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Education and Science and Employment are planning a new initiatve designed to improve the effectiveness of provision. Details will be announced shortly.
