HC Deb 16 March 1987 vol 112 c384W
Dr. Godman

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on facilities for screening for AIDS in (a) the Argyll and Clyde Health area board, (b) Strathclyde, and (c) Scotland as a whole.

Mr. John MacKay

Anyone who wishes to be tested for the presence of HIV antibodies may arrange, either directly or through his or her general practitioner, to be tested, after appropriate counselling, either at a sexually transmitted disease clinic; or at Ruchill hospital, Glasgow; or the City hospital, Edinburgh. Clinics are located throughout Strathclyde and in the Argyll and Clyde health board area there is a clinic at Inverclyde Royal hospital in Greenock.
