§ Mr. LeeI regret that the information requested is not available.
Employment statistics for local areas are available only for those dates when censuses of employment are taken and the most recent are for September 1981. The September 1984 census estimates are not yet available for areas smaller than the standard economic regions. These 344W censuses provide statistics of full-time and part-time employees (those working not more than 30 hours a week) analysed by industry and area, Specific information about size of firm or actual numbers of hours worked is not collected. My Department has no information about the numbers taking up new jobs.
