§ Mr. Frank Cookasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will outline and make available in the Library the current gaseous and liquid radioactive discharge authorisations at the following nuclear installations: Hinckley Point A, Hinckley Point B, Berkeley, Amersham International plc, Trawsfynydd, Oldbury, Bradwell, Hartlepool, Heysham A and B, Winfrith, Dungeness A and B, Calder hall, Wylfa and Chapelcross.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe current liquid and gaseous discharge authorisation issued jointly by my Department and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, for Hinckley Point A and B, Berkeley, Oldbury, Bradwell, Hartlepool, Heysham I, Dungeness A and B. Winfrith and Amersham International (Amersham) will be placed in the Library of the House. The authorisation for Heysham II is still under discussion with the CEGB.
Discharges form BNFL's Calder hall works are covered by the Sellafield authorisations which are published in the BNFL annual report, "Radioactive Discharges and Monitoring of the Environment", copies of which have been placed in the Library of the House.
The authorisations for Amersham International (Cardiff), Trawsfynydd and Wylfa are a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales and the authorisation for Chapelcross for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland.
