§ Mr. Adley
asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he next intends to make an announcement about state retirement pension levels.

§ Mr. Major
The next review of benefit levels will take place in the autumn of this year and a statement will be made shortly afterwards.

§ Mr. Patrick Thompson
asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish a table showing the yearly percentage increase for the pensioners price index and for the retirement pension for each year since 1983.

The information requested is shown for the uprating month in each year in the table.
