§ Mr. MellorThe numbers of notifiable offences recorded by the police are published regularly for each category of crime. Quarterly figures are published in the Home Office statistical bulletin "Notifiable Offences Recorded by the Police", copies of which are in the Library. The most recent figures, for the third quarter of 1986 are contained in bulletin 39/86. More detailed annual figures are published in "Criminal Statistics, England and Wales", (1985 figures are included in Comnd. 10).
