§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe have received from the chief constable of the North Yorkshire police a report of an investigation carried out by a senior officer of his force into claims that information, in particular about criminal records, was passed to the Economic League by the police. Detailed examinations of police national computer transactions made by the force produced no indication that the PNC had been used to obtain criminal record information for the league. Further inquiries and interviews produced no evidence to support the implication that other police information had been passed to the league.
