Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (1) whether he will bring up to date the figures on direct investment in tables 6 and 7 of the memorandum submitted by Her Majesty's Government to the Treasury and Civil Service Committee on the "Financial and Economic Consequences of United Kingdom Membership of the European Communities" (Session 1984–85, HC 57-II, pages 22 to 23);

(2) whether he will bring up to date the figures on inward and outward direct investment given in tables 8 and 9 of the memorandum submitted by Her Majesty's Government to the Treasury and Civil Service Committee on the "Financial and Economic Consequences of United Kingdom Membership of the European Communities" (Session 1984–85, HC 57-II pages 24–25).
