Mr. Alan W. Williams

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the European countries that have banned or restricted the use of the weedkiller 2,4,5-T.

The latest information we have available is that varying uses of 2,4,5-T products are permitted in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Ireland, Denmark, Greece, Spain and Portugal. No uses are permitted in Holland, Italy or West Germany.
