§ Mr. Soleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what plans there are to extend the lease on the car ferry Earl William for use as an immigration detention centre.
§ Mr. RentonThe existing lease is for three months, with the option of extensions up to a maximum of 12 months. We have decided to exercise that option for a period of three months in the first instance.
