§ Mr. Ridley[pursuant to his reply, 17 July 1987]: During the financial year 1986–87 my Department, including the Property Services Agency, spent £338,000 on newspaper advertisements (other than on recruitment, tendering and statutory notices) and £825,093 on promotional literature. There was no advertising on television and radio.
The estimated figure in 1987–88 on advertising in all media — a breakdown is not possible at this stage— is £117,500 and £1,019,750 for other promotional literature.

§ Mr. Ridley[pursuant to his reply, 17 July 1987]: During the financial year 1986–87 my Department, including PSA, spent a total of £2,929,174 on press and public relations against an estimated expenditure of £3,601,956. In 1987–88 expenditure is estimated at £3,757,100.
