§ Mr. Fraserasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when part 1 of the Consumer Protection Act 1987 will come into force; and when consultation on the code of practice and proposed regulations under part III of the Act will be resumed.
§ Mr. MaudeI expect to be able to announce the implementation dates for those sections of the Act dealing with safety issues very soon. I hope that a revised draft of the code of practice on price indications and any draft regulations under part III of the Act will be available for public consultation in the autumn.
