§ Mr. Lathamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will call for a report from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis regarding the progress of the investigation into the unlawful killing of Petty Officer John Black in Spain over Christmas 1983.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggI understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that the investigation into Petty Officer Black's death requires further inquiries to be undertaken in Spain. The permission of the Spanish authorities has been sought for British police officers to go to Spain to conduct these inquiries and their reply is awaited.
