§ Mrs. ChalkerI visited Ethiopia from 9 to 11 April and had frank and open discussions with members of the Government. I drew attention to the European Community statement of 21 July 1986 in favour of a peaceful settlement of conflicts in the region and the encouragement of local agricultural production to prevent further famine. We have made clear our concern for human rights in Ethiopia.
