§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsChanges in the levels of output of Welsh manufacturing industry are measured by the "Index of Production and Construction for Wales", (1980= 100), which is published in a quarterly press notice and is available in the Library. The most recent results available indicate that in the third quarter of 1986 the manufacturing index stood at 107.0, compared with 110.0 on a comparable basis in the third quarter of 1979.
