§ Mr. MooreProperties surplus to operational requirements are being removed from the subsidiaries and sold separately. Where an operational property has a potentially high alternative use value which could be realised in later years by redevelopment, or relocation of the subsidiary's activity, the National Bus Company is imposing a mortgage charge which secures for the taxpayer a substantial share of any future development gain.
