§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, pursuant to the reply of 19 January, Official Report, columns 409–10, regarding the decision to grant a limited trans-shipment operation to Eastern bloc vessels in Falmouth Bay, how many licences were granted and on what dates; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. GummerFollowing close consultation with the Ministry of Defence and with Scottish industry, my Department has approved six eastern bloc vessels to receive trans-shipped fish at Falmouth; of these two made application for licence on 22 January and licences for these vessels were issued on 23 January.
