Mr. Wallace

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, further to the answer given by the hon. Member for Argyll and Bute (Mr. MacKay) on 21 January 1986, he will specify the salmon and sea fisheries organisations which were consulted prior to the Prohibition of Carriage of Monofilament Gill Nets (Scotland) Order 1985 being laid before the House.

  1. The Salmon Net Fishing Association of Scotland
  2. The Association of Scottish District Salmon Fishery Boards
  3. The Scottish Fishermen's Federation
  4. The Highlands and Islands Fishermen's Association (SG)
  5. The Orkney Fisheries Association
  6. The Western Isles Fishermen's Association
  7. The National Federation of Fishermen's Organisations
  8. The Association of Sea Fisheries Committees
