§ Mr. John PattenThe Central Office of Information has commissioned on the Department's behalf a small-scale survey of the extent to which council tenants are aware of their right to buy, to help assess the effectiveness of measures to inform tenants of the changes in the Housing and Planning Act 1986. The study is being undertaken by Mark Research Limited; a sample of some 1,000 tenants in randomly selected areas will be approached; and the estimated cost is £40,000.
