§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, further to his answer of 15 March 1985, Official Report, column 310, to the hon. Member for Great Grimsby concerning value added in agriculture, whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the value added figures for the United Kingdom for the years since 1982 and his forecast for 1987, together with (a) the estimated United Kingdom contribution to the EEC budget each year and (b) the total amount spent in the United Kingdom out of public funds on agriculture and agricultural support, including administrative overheads.
§ Mr. BrookeThe information requested is contained in the following table. The table gives figures for value-added in agriculture, the United Kingdom contribution to the EEC budget and the amount of public support to agriculture. The data is given only up to 1985 since data for 1986 is not yet available. The Government do not make forecasts for GDP in agriculture.
