§ Mr. ScottThe decisions and administration of government in Northern Ireland continue to be the responsibility of Her Majesty's Government alone, as article 2(b) of the Anglo-Irish Agreement makes clear. It is therefore not possible to attribute decisions specifically to the agreement. Nevertheless, the views and proposals we have received from the Irish through the Anglo-Irish Intergovernmental Conference have been an important and constructive contribution to a number of matters. The joint statements issued after each meeting of the conference, copies of which are in the Library, record the subjects which were discussed there.
