§ Mr. PattieThe Government maintain their view that the provisions of the Films Act 1985 offer a framework within which the commercial film industry can develop and prosper. So far, seven films have been supported under the film production scheme operated by British Screen Finance Ltd. and five projects have received finance under the development scheme managed by the national film development fund. A short films scheme is intended to be in place soon.
