§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the latest figures available for the percentage of gross domestic product spent on health, health expenditure per head of population, number of practising doctors per 100,000 of the population and hospital beds per 1,000 population for the United Kingdom; and what information is available on comparable figures in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Portugal, and the EEC on average, the United States of America and Sweden.
