asked the Secretary of State for Transport how many road schemes in London are currently under construction and assisted by transport supplementary grant from his Department.

The TSG settlement for the current year covers 23 major schemes worth £250 million. These are:

This year TSG is helping important borough programmes of minor improvement schemes and traffic management measures worth £10 million. These should benefit all classes of traffic and reduce accidents. We propose to accept for grant £16 million of schemes of this sort in 1987–88.
