§ Mr. Alan ClarkThe Internal Market Council, at which I represented the United Kingdom, discussed directives on a general system for the recognition of higher education diplomas for the purposes of professional qualifications, on a right of residence for EC nationals in the Territory of another member state, and on controls and formalities applicable to EC nationals when crossing intra Community borders; a Council Decision on extending the Community's programme for the Transnational development of the supporting infrastructure for innovation (the SPRINT Programme); and the entry into force of the Community Patent Convention.
