§ Mr. StanleyThe SDI is a research programme designed to investigate the feasibility of strategic defences. It is not possible to speculate at this stage of the research on the form any deployment might take or on its implications for British defence policy. The United States 211W Administration have made it clear that no decisions on deployment, let alone on any particular system, have been taken.
