§ Sir John Biggs-Davisonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement about the work of the Anglo-Irish Intergovernmental Council since the conclusion of the Anglo-Irish Agreement, in view of the commitment made by the Prime Minister and the Taoiseach in paragraph 10 of their joint communiqué issued at Hillsborough on 15 November 1985.
§ Mr. EggarThe Intergovernmental Conference established by the Anglo-Irish Agreement was set up within the framework of the Anglo-Irish Intergovernmental Council. There have been a number of meetings at all levels under the auspices of the council since the conclusion of the agreement. In addition, the coordinating committee met in July 1986.
