HC Deb 10 February 1987 vol 110 c161W
Mr. Michael Forsyth

asked the Solicitor-General for Scotland what action is being taken following police inquiries into allegations of irregularities in the awarding of grants by the Highlands and Islands Development Board; and if he will make a statement.

The Solicitor-General for Scotland

A police report on one such case has been made to the procurator fiscal, Inverness, and the papers have been passed to the fraud unit at Crown Office, which is currently investigating this and another similar case. It would not be appropriate to give further details at this stage.
