§ Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Paymaster General if he will publish in the Official Report details of the divergence between predicted and actual expenditure in 1986 on each Manpower Services Commission programme area within the vocational educational and training group and the employment and enterprise group.
§ Mr. Kenneth Clarke[pursuant to his reply, 5 February 1987, c. 761]: The Manpower Services Commission keeps records on the basis of the standard financial year for accounting for Government expenditure. The year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
The latest available figures cover the year ended 31 March 1986. In that year divergences on programmes were as follows:

In addition the following divergencies occurred on agency programmes administered by the Manpower Services Commission on behalf of the Department of Employment:
