Whether any research on seals and their interaction with commercial fisheries has been carried out or funded solely by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Scotland (DAFS) in any of the years 1982–83 to 1986–87, or will be in 1987–88, and whether they will state the cost of such research, or the extent of such funding for each year.
