asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he is making to the South African Government over the continued detention of Oxfam workers, Mr. Sarangalis Mkhatshwa, Arthur Mkhwanaji, Rev. Abraham Major and Janet Cherry; and if he will make a statement.

Her Majesty's ambassador at Pretoria raised the cases of those named, and others, as part of the representations which we made to the South African Government on 19 December 1986 on behalf of the Twelve about human rights abuses in South Africa.
