Provision of lifeboats around the coast of the United Kingdom is a matter for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. I understand it is presently reviewing lifeboat cover for north-west Scotland and will inform the United Kingdom Search and Rescue Committee of its intentions when next it meets in May.
