Deb, col. 811); what detailed supervision took place by state veterinary officers; and whether supervision operates during unloading and during the actual slaughter process.
§ Lord BelsteadI understand that since October 1985 three slaughterhouses have slaughtered a total of some 675 deer in Great Britain. Officers of the state veterinary service have monitored both unloading and slaughter operations at all three slaughterhouses, which were supervised by local authority officials.
