asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many cot deaths have occurred in Wales in each of the last seven years.

The number of registered deaths in Wales for which cot death — sudden infant death syndrome — was mentioned on the death certificate—whether or not it was given as the underlying cause—is given in the following table:
