To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the value of property stolen from the National Health Service in each of the last five years.

The annual accounts of health authorities in England incorporate a statement of losses which includes categories as follows:

Losses of cash due to Theft, Fraud, etc. Losses of equipment and property in stores and in use due to Theft, Fraud or Arson, etc.
