§ Mr. FearnTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how many cases of school phobia were diagnosed in 1986–87; what is his Department's policy towards the treatment of school phobia; if he has any plans to renew that policy; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mrs. CurrieThese figures are not collected centrally. If a child is diagnosed as having a school phobia a child psychiatrist or psychologist would be consulted. Any health services provided would then rest on the clinical judgment of the consultant concerned.
