Mr. Mallon

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what account Her Majesty's Government took of the various views expressed by interested bodies in submissions on the draft Matrimonial and Family Proceedings (NI) Order.

Mr. Stanley

I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave on 3 December to the right hon. Member for Strangford (Mr. Taylor).

and social services board in Northern Ireland are (a) full and (b) part-time; what full-time equivalents these numbers represent; whether their duties are similar; whether any board has any plans to increase the numbers of such officers; what change there has been in their numbers during the last three years; and what were the principal reasons for any such changes.

Mr. Needham

The table sets out the number of dental officers employed by each health and social services board in each of the past three years. The duties of these officers are similar. There are no plans to increase the number of these officers and any alterations in numbers over the past three years has been due to posts becoming vacant and subsequently being filled.
