To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what representations he made to the Government of the Republic of Ireland following the incursion of Irish troops into the United Kingdom at the village of Calloville on 11 November 1987.

[holding answer 27 November 1987]: This incursion was brought to the attention of the Irish authorities. As is generally the case in respect of the security forces on each side of the border, the incursion was inadvertent.
